Busy Edmonton-based transportation company is looking for a Class 1 Driver Supervisor to oversee daily driver operations and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
This is a hands-on operational position, not a desk-only management role. The successful candidate must have strong real-world Class 1 driving experience and be comfortable actively working with drivers, equipment, and day-to-day operational issues.
The role requires someone who can lead by example, train drivers, enforce compliance, review ELD logs, and step in when needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and supervise drivers
- Ensure compliance with Alberta transportation regulations and company policies
- Review and audit ELD logs and driver logbooks for compliance
- Monitor driver performance and address safety or compliance issues
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing driver training
- Oversee scheduling and dispatch coordination with drivers and equipment
- Investigate operational issues and resolve driver-related concerns
- Oversee and track vehicle maintenance schedules and inspections
- Assist with shuttling trucks and equipment when required
- Step in to cover driving shifts when necessary to maintain operations
- Implement and maintain transportation policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Ensure drivers are following hours-of-service regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years commercial Class 1 driving experience in Canada
- Previous Supervisor or Management Role required
- Valid Class 1 Licence
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Transportation regulations as well as Federal compliance requirements
- Experience reviewing ELD logs and driver logbooks
- Ability to operate various commercial vehicles Class 3 – Class 1
- Experience with ELD systems is an asset
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced transportation environment
