Job Summary
The 310T Truck & Coach Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial tractors and trailers to ensure they meet all Ministry of Transportation (MTO), DOT, and company safety standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in minimizing downtime and keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, air, hydraulic, and suspension systems.
- Complete annual safety inspections and preventive maintenance inspections.
- Troubleshoot engine, transmission, ABS, HVAC, steering, and braking systems.
- Perform diagnostics using computerized diagnostic software.
- Repair and replace tires, brakes, wheel seals, bearings, and suspension components.
- Complete welding and fabrication repairs when required.
- Ensure repairs comply with MTO, DOT, and manufacturer specifications.
- Complete accurate repair orders and maintenance documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in emergency roadside repairs when required.
- Work closely with drivers, dispatch, and management to prioritize repairs.
- Assist with maintaining maintenance schedules and fleet records.
