Position: Service Technician Cabinetry
Schedule: Monday to Friday
This position is perfect for you if:
- Have at least 3 years experience with cabinetry finish touch-ups, installations or custom cabinentry carpentry
- Have 3 years of Canadian Driving Experience and less than 6 demerits
- Own your own hand tools, drills, saws, etc.
- Skilled at prioritizing a busy schedule and will meet deadlines
- Able to decision make and problem solve, on the spot
- Willing to follow procedures and protocols
- Basic Computer and Smart Phone Skills
- Excellent communication skills and customer service experience
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
· Perform service functions on completed cabinet installs.
· Perform assigned Quality Control checks, and complete the required reports and forms within the 2 day deadline
· Complete assigned touch up appointments on scheduled date
· Email completion notices and any other required information for appointments, to administration before leaving site
· Review scheduled appointments on a daily basis and keep open communication with Quality Control Manager at all times
· Work with a proactive mindset, keeping company costs and customer service at the forefront at all times
· Safe operation and handling of all machines, tools and material.
· Clean and maintain service vehicle
· Ensure the worksite is kept clean and safe at all times.
· Accurate completion of time sheets daily and submission on a weekly basis
Knowledge and Skill Set:
· Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in cabinetry service functions.
· React quickly and appropriately to problems; follow up in a timely matter to issues that are not immediately resolvable.
· Ability to cooperate and work productively with others to meet customer needs.
· Effective listening and clear verbal, as well as written, communication skills.
· Ability to adjust to an environment with changing priorities.
· Flexible, with the willingness and ability to travel daily to assigned sites and to work at various locations throughout the city
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Must have tools.
· Excellent customer service skills in dealing with homeowners.
· Ability to coordinate several simultaneous tasks while maintaining a positive attitude and a flexible work style.
· Self-motivated with ability to work well independently.
· Must be punctual, reliable, and possess an excellent work ethic
· Company vehicle can be provided
