We are seeking a full-time permanent Evaluation and Data Specialist to join the Research and Evaluation Team at Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre. They will support Luna in collecting and analyzing high quality data to provide an accurate representation of our activities and outcomes for evaluation, strategic decision making, communications, and continuous improvement.
The Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre is recognized as a Centre of Excellence in child abuse intervention and prevention. Luna’s multidisciplinary team of experts from health, children’s services, law enforcement, justice, and victim services work together from one location to help young people and their families throughout the disclosure, investigation, and judicial process, and along all phases of their healing journey. Reporting to the Director of Research and Evaluation, the Evaluation and Data Specialist is responsible for managing, administering, and maintaining the Luna database; reporting on data and providing strategic insights; and conducting evaluation activities. The Evaluation and Data Specialist is the first line of technical and functional support for the database and will build data capacity among the Luna team and partners for its use. This work will include collaborating with stakeholders, leadership, and staff throughout all phases of cross-sectoral data management, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.

They will work collaboratively within the Research and Evaluation Team and across the organization to support Luna as a Centre of Excellence. Qualifications
Knowledge of evaluation and performance measurement principles, practices, standards, tools, and techniques.
High degree of computer literacy and extensive experience with Microsoft 365. In particular, demonstrated and high-level proficiency with advanced Excel functions (PivotTables, PowerPivot, etc.).
Strong foundation of organization, time management, critical thinking, with an orientation towards accuracy.
Demonstrate a commitment to enhancing awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Experience with R, SPSS, NVivo, and related data analysis software, is considered an asset.
