Day Group Timmins is looking for a Surface Mining Supervisor who is client-focused, and has proven knowledge of construction technology, documentation, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures. The Surface Mining Supervisor will require a solid understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, QA/QC requirements, and excellent ability to lead and direct groups in an efficient manner.
To be successful in our dynamic environment you must have 3 years of field-experience and/ or 3 years in a supervisory role. Your strong knowledge of construction site operations, including Occupational Health and Safety compliance, proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities, and ability to meet deadlines on-time and on-budget will be an asset. If you are someone who also has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can facilitate communication between subs, suppliers, and other project participants, then Day Group wants to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of mining site personnel
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor and evaluate operational efficiency and productivity
- Resolve operational issues and implement improvements
- Report to Senior Management on site performance
- Promote Day Groups safety policies and culture
- Manage scheduling to meet production goals
- Promote Day Groups safety policies and culture.
