Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various carpentry and construction projects, providing a solid foundation for a career in the trades. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will assist skilled carpenters with diverse tasks, gaining valuable skills in formwork, concrete placing and finishing, rebar installation, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Support the installation of formwork, rebar and concrete accessories
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Aid in the assembly of structural components and equipment
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required on job sites
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies during daily operations
Skills
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Experience or familiarity with concrete forming and rebar installation is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely
- Work at heights or in confined spaces if needed - training provided
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Eagerness to learn new skills within the construction trades
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions
