Holy Family Home is seeking an Infection Control Support Associate (ICSA) to support and promote best practices in infection prevention and control within our long-term care environment. Reporting to the Director of Care and working collaboratively with regional IP&C leadership and the Medical Director, the ICSA plays a key role in ensuring compliance with provincial and regional infection prevention and control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of infection prevention and control (IP&C) practices, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance and education to staff regarding routine practices, additional precautions, outbreak management, cleaning and disinfection processes, and resident safety.
- Conduct surveillance and monitoring of healthcare-associated infections and assist with outbreak investigations and response measures.
- Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to identify risks, implement improvement strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participate in IP&C audits, education initiatives, reporting, and quality improvement activities.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in a health-related field such as nursing, public health, microbiology, epidemiology, or related discipline.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a nursing background
- Completion of an IPAC Canada-endorsed Infection Prevention and Control Course is preferred; successful candidate must complete within one year if not already obtained.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical healthcare experience required.
- Previous experience in infection prevention and control is considered an asset.
- Current professional registration in good standing, where applicable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Pay: $34.38-$45.67 per hour
