We are looking for a reliable and energetic Temporary Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team for the month of August while covering staff leave.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and safely manage groups of dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
- Monitor dog behavior and ensure safe, positive play.
- Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, and common spaces throughout the day.
- Feed dogs and provide fresh water as instructed.
- Assist with dog drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Communicate with team members about each dog's behavior and needs.
- Take dogs on walks when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with dogs is preferred (daycare, boarding, grooming, veterinary, or animal shelter experience is an asset).
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Able to recognize dog body language and intervene appropriately.
- Physically fit and able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
- Available to work weekdays
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
