Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and safety standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations while maintaining a positive work environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including interviewing, training, and scheduling team members
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food industry practices
- Monitor customer service interactions to uphold high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Coordinate kitchen activities, including supervising food production and serving processes
- Handle operational tasks such as inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Assist in restaurant management duties including resolving customer issues and ensuring efficient workflow
- Train staff on food safety protocols, kitchen procedures, and service standards
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles including hotel or barista experience is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Experience in interviewing and onboarding new staff members
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Prior experience with cash handling, serving, and customer service excellence is essential
