Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Cashier/Sales Assistant to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting customers with product information and demos. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling
- Conduct product demos and provide detailed information about merchandise, especially technology products
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store presents a clean, inviting environment
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage with a diverse customer base
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or technical sales preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Customer service orientation with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform product demos confidently, especially for technology items
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
- Prior experience in merchandising or retail environments is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
Pay: $17.20-$31.84 per hour
