Must-haves:

10+ years of experience leading and conducting business and system analysis to assess clients' business problems/opportunities and document the business/system requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be designed.
- Proven experience in both agile and waterfall project management methodologies; demonstrated experience with writing user stories and using tools such as DevOps.

Proven experience in conducting business and system analysis in respect to building data marts/data warehouses/data lakehouse or Business Intelligence/Data Analytics and Reporting solutions.

Proven experience in conducting business and system analysis for a Dynamics 365 CE and/or F&O solution.

Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as PowerBI

Scope:
-
The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT) requires a Senior Business Analysts to assist with report development for the data warehouse/lakehouse and associated data migration activities.
Assignment Deliverables
As a member of the PGTIMS Support and Data Migration team, you will be responsible to lead and conduct business and systems analyst related to data migration activities.
A high-level list of deliverables follows:

Lead and conduct business and system analysis in respect to building the golden layer of the data lakehouse and modernized reports in PowerBI.

Lead the effort into defining the reporting MVP; document legacy reports in scope of MVP; conduct gap analysis and provide recommendations.

Document report requirements in user stories in DevOps. Conduct analysis at varying levels of detail, appropriate to the project and phases of project, aligning with OPS standards.

Liaise between Business Areas and the data migration and reporting team, to clarify business requirements and translate them into system and reporting requirements.

Conduct business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects, including report requirements, screen specifications, business rules, data migration requirements, etc.
- Produce/update documentation which will allow future support of the implemented solutions.

Assist with identifying and resolving data quality issues, defining test cases, performing data reconciliation, and addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise during the testing phase; developing KPIs to report on the progress, completeness and quality of the reporting and data migration effort.

Ongoing Support: provide post-migration support, analyze and address data-related issues or questions; help with optimizing data management processes in the new environment.

Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines.

Notify the Cluster/Ministry project Manager in writing of any issues or other material concerns related to the Assignment Deliverables, as soon as he/she becomes aware of them

Submit Deliverables for the Cluster/Ministry approval as they are completed.

Comply with the Ontario Government and the Cluster/Ministry security procedures and practices

Comply with the Ontario Government and the Cluster/Ministry architecture/technology standards and best practices

Comply with the Ontario Government and the Cluster/Ministry Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Guidelines

Provide knowledge and skill transfer to a designated Cluster/Ministry staff

Comply with the Ontario Government I&IT Directive, Operational Policy on the I&IT Project Gateway Process, and other applicable Guidelines, Standards and Procedures.

Experience consulting and coordinating between Business Areas and the IT Development and Testing teams to clarify business requirements and translating them into system requirements.
