- Build strong, trusting relationships with students while encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Engage with students through intentional play, storytelling, creative activities, outdoor exploration, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Support play-based and inquiry-driven learning under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Help students develop early social-emotional skills, language skills, self-help skills, and classroom routines.
- Observe student needs and communicate relevant information to the classroom teacher and school leadership.
- Model kindness, patience, respect, and appropriate boundaries in all interactions with students.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and safe classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support each child’s holistic development.
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education Diploma and registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators is preferred.

- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
