Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Expo/Host/Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest services, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality and food service skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. Previous restaurant experience and strong communication skills are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation seating arrangements
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service
- Address guest inquiries promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Clear tables and assist with maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area
- Handle phone reservations and inquiries with professional phone etiquette
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist in setting up dining areas for special events or busy periods as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant procedures is advantageous
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service are essential
- Hotel or hospitality experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
