We are seeking a Corporate Manager / Senior Corporate Law Clerk to lead and mentor a corporate services team within one of Canada's leading business law firms, while overseeing complex corporate transactions and driving operational excellence. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Corporate Law Clerk looking to transition into a leadership role while remaining involved in sophisticated corporate work. The successful candidate will manage a team of corporate law clerks and legal assistants, support departmental operations, and contribute to process improvements and client service initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and supervise corporate law clerks and legal assistants
Manage workflow allocation to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely completion of work
Provide guidance on corporate procedures, transactions, and regulatory requirements
Conduct training, coaching, and performance evaluations for team members
Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and best practices
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives
Collaborate with firm leadership on technology implementation and process improvements
Oversee and assist with complex corporate transactions and client matters as required
Foster a collaborative, high-performing, and client-focused team culture
Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent qualification
5+ years of corporate law clerk or corporate services experience
Strong knowledge of federal and provincial corporate statutes and filings
Experience with corporate records management and corporate transactions
Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience is an asset
Proficiency with MinuteBox, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Teams
Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
