Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting various construction projects by performing physical tasks that ensure the smooth progress of building and renovation activities. Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up work areas for upcoming tasks
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to support carpentry, framing, and other construction activities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Support skilled trades by performing tasks such as carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, welding, and restoration work
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely progress and quality standards are met
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in construction environments
- Previous construction experience or familiarity with building sites is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques, restoration processes
- Experience with plumbing systems, welding techniques, flooring installation, or tile laying is a plus
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
