We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and maintaining a fleet of well-maintained heavy-duty trucks. We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic Engine Rebuild Specialist to join our Calgary team.
Job Description:
As a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty trucks to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Complete in-frame and out-of-frame engine rebuilds
- Diagnose and repair Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Volvo engines
- Perform cylinder head, liner, piston, crankshaft, camshaft, and bearing replacements
- Diagnose engine performance issues using OEM diagnostic software
- Ensure all work meets OEM specifications and quality standards
- Conducting routine maintenance inspections on heavy-duty trucks.
- Perform CVIP inspections, engine diagnostics, suspension work, and more.
- Conducting thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
- Utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose issues and make necessary repairs.
- Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Providing guidance and training to mechanics as needed.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working on transport trucks and trailers
- Experience of engines Rebuilt for DD-15 and Volvo D-13 is Required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and other heavy-duty truck components.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
