Full-Time Powder Coating Line Operator – General Labour
Responsibilities
- Knowledge and experience of safety and health precautions related to working with machines and chemicals
- Collaborate effectively and efficiently in all stages of the Powder Coating Line to ensure its proper operation
- Inspect parts to be loaded as well as finished products once they are offloaded
- Hang or Remove the product from the conveyor line, visually inspect for quality defects.
- Package product on skids as mandated by a supervisor, lead, or owner
- Must be able to comfortably perform job duties keeping up with machine output rate.
- Maintain workflow in the areas of responsibility as well as notifying the supervisor, lead, or owner of any product flow issues that affect the equipment
- Report immediately any equipment performance or material supply concerns for prompt remediation
- Developing and maintaining Quality Control practices.
- Parts can be quite delicate and must be packed properly to ensure that the customer receives the best quality items.
- Maintaining a neat and organized workspace
- Cutting down foam to fit skids
- Communicating with the other divisions – Tagging, Shipping/Receiving, Prep. work.
- Keeping up with the line without compromising quality
- Ensuring availability and willingness to work overtime as is needed in order to satisfy customer needs.
- Consistent reliability.
- Keeps work area safe, organized, and clean
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- Powder Coating experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to multi-task working in a fast-paced environment. Eager to learn
- Must be available and willing to work as needed.
- Experience working in manufacturing is an asset.
- Experience packing items of different shapes and sizes is an asset.
- Experience with Conveyor Lines an asset
- Experience with metal painting an asset.
