Located on the south side of Edmonton, we are open seven days a week and provide a wide range of entertainment options, including bowling, arcade games, and more. Our team is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for our guests, and we’re looking for enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our team as servers and bartenders.
Job Description:
As a Server/Bartender at Gateway Entertainment Centre, you will be working evenings and weekends. You will be the the face of our food and beverage service, interacting with guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring a great customer experience. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring proper presentation and quality
- Manage bar operations, including mixing and serving drinks, handling payments, and maintaining a clean work area (for bartenders)
- Assist with setting up and breaking down service areas
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including daily specials and promotions
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a server or bartender in a restaurant, bar, or similar setting
- ProServe certification or willingness to obtain it
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Hours of Operations:
- Monday to Thursday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Friday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Saturday: 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
