LTL Contracting Ltd. is seeking reliable and hardworking Welders to join our team. The successful candidate will perform welding and fabrication work on structural steel, metal components, and construction equipment while ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal structures and components.
- Cut, grind, and prepare metal materials for welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and structural integrity.
- Operate welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing materials as needed.
- Complete assigned tasks while meeting quality and productivity standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience.
- Vocational training or certification in welding is an asset.
- Proven experience as a welder in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Location Notice:
- This position is for the Thunder Bay Office, Monday – Friday 7:30pm-4:00pm subject to travel out of town as needed for the job.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
