About Eco Guardian Founded in 2004, Eco Guardian is a Canadian manufacturer of compostable, plastic-free food packaging — cups, bowls, and food containers made from rapidly renewable materials like sugarcane and bamboo that protect the environment without compromise.
We have recently opened a new, modern production facility in Aurora, Ontario, bringing sustainable manufacturing closer to the Canadian market we serve.
Our Aurora facility is growing fast. As we ramp up production on our automated paper cup and bowl forming lines, we are adding motivated, reliable people to our team. If you take pride in keeping things running smoothly and want to be part of a company that genuinely cares about the planet, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role As a Machine Loader, you are the backbone of continuous production. Your job is to make sure the machines never run out of material — monitoring stock levels, preparing paper blanks (fins), and loading the machine feed throughout your shift. You will work closely with the machine operator and the warehouse forklift team to keep product flowing.
What You’ll Do
-
Monitor inventory at the machine staging area throughout your shift
- Communicate material requirements to the forklift team
- Load fins into the machine feed, ensuring correct orientation and alignment
- Proactively replenish the machine before a runout occurs
- Keep your work area clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times
Physical Requirements
This is an active, physically demanding role. You must be able to:
-
Lift and carry loads up to 45 lbs
- Stand and walk for the majority of an 8-hour shift
- Perform repetitive bending, reaching, and loading tasks throughout the shift
- Work at a consistent pace in a fast-moving production environment
Food Safety & Workplace Requirements
Eco Guardian operates to certified food safety standards (SQF). All production employees must:
-
Wear required PPE at all times: steel-toed safety footwear, hearing protection, gloves, hair net, and beard net (where applicable)
- Follow strict personal hygiene and grooming policies in all production areas
- Comply with all site health, safety, and food safety policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For
-
Reliable and punctual — consistent attendance is critical to keeping production on track
- Attentive and proactive — you notice when levels are getting low before it becomes a problem
- A clear communicator — you can flag issues quickly and work well with those around you
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your area
- No formal qualifications required — full on-the-job training is provided
