Allied Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd. is hiring a Plumbing Journeyperson to join our Metro Vancouver team.

The Role
In this role, you will perform mechanical service, maintenance, repair, and smaller
installation work to ensure building mechanical systems operate safely, reliably, and
efficiently while supporting strong service productivity, accurate documentation, and
professional customer service.
This is not new construction only. You’ll work on a wide range of well-maintained
systems across our commercial client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Service, Maintenance, and Repair Work
- Diagnose mechanical system issues and complete required repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and routine service work
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards
- Complete Small Installation Work
- Perform smaller equipment replacements and mechanical installations such as
- pumps, valves, tanks, and related components
- Ensure installations meet mechanical codes, manufacturer requirements, and
- company standards
- Document Repair Scope and Create Quote Drafts
- Document system issues, repair recommendations, and required scope in the service management system
- Prepare draft quotes including materials, equipment, and scope details based on service findings
- Submit quote drafts for office review before proposals are issued to customers
- Provide Accurate Service Documentation
- Document work performed, materials used, and service findings in the service reporting system
- Ensure service reports are completed before closing work orders
Supporting Responsibilities
- Communicate job status, delays, or schedule changes with dispatch
- Maintain organized service vehicles, tools, and job materials
- Maintain professional communication with customers on site
- Follow company safety procedures and jobsite safety requirements
Performance Expectations
- Service and installation work completed safely and efficiently
- Accurate service and safety documentation and quote draft preparation
- Identification of repair or upgrade opportunities during service visits
- Professional customer communication during service calls
What You Bring – Required
- Journeyperson Plumbing ticket
- Back Flow ticket
- Gas B ticket
- Experience troubleshooting boilers, pumps and hydronic systems
- Experience with building control systems Experience with commercial plumbing work
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment in commercial setting
- Knowledge of electrical/controls and typical plumbing service
- Thorough understanding of provincial plumbing code and standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with clients and office staff
- Valid BC Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Comfortable using mobile devices and cloud-based software
- Able to pass a criminal record check

- Red Seal Plumbing ticket
- Electrical Endorsement
- Gas A ticket
- Experience in Mechanical Room Upgrades, boiler replacements, and black iron
- piping up to 4"(including Welding and Victaulic)
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, engineering specification, technological
- processes, and SOPs
- Electrical or controls knowledge
- Experience troubleshooting refrigeration/HVAC systems
On-Call Expectations
- On-call rotation: approximately 1 week every 5–8 weeks
- Paid 8 hours straight time per on-call week
- Emergency calls paid minimum 2 hours at time-and-a-half
