As an Adoption Specialist at our Adelaide-Metcalfe location, you'll be the face of Sad Nuggie in our biggest location, a major tourist attraction in the area. This is the original location people travel from all over the world to visit, after planning their journey to us for years. Making that trip worth every second of travel and providing an unforgettable experience is your mission from the Nuggies. You'll guide customers through the adoption process, help them find their perfect Nuggie match, process adoptions, assess their nuggies health at our nuggie health medical centre, and ensure every visitor leaves with a smile.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in finding their perfect Nuggie
- Process adoptions and handle point-of-sale transactions
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and store presentation
- Share product knowledge and the Sad Nuggie story with customers
- Those who are trained for Nuggie Medical Centre will guide customers through their nuggies checkup, assessing the "health" of their nuggie and performing various "medical procedures" to each nuggie. Experience in improv, theatre or related skills helps here.
- Those who are trained on Heat Press will create custom apparel for visitors, online orders, and stock for our Toronto Eaton Centre Location.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays
- Available to start as soon as possible (July)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Reliable transportation to work
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of the Sad Nuggie brand and products
- Experience with POS systems
Pay: $18.00 per hour
