Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Entry-Level Consumer Lending Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or grow a career in financial services, with on-the-job training and opportunities to develop new skills.
Key Responsibilities
As part of our team, you'll play an important role throughout the lending process by:
- Reviewing loan applications for completeness and accuracy
- Analyzing client banking and supporting financial documents
- Assessing affordability and identifying potential concerns
- Reviewing data entry for accuracy before funding
- Contacting clients by phone, email and text regarding pre-approved loan applications
- Following up for outstanding documents and information
- Answering client questions throughout the approval process
- Performing PPSA searches, registrations and renewals
- Assisting with delinquent accounts through professional collection calls and emails
- Documenting customer interactions and payment arrangements using internal software
- Participating in marketing meetings and sharing client feedback and trends
- Working closely with management to improve processes and the client experience
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills for negotiation and client interaction (both written and verbal)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information professionally
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience or coursework related to risk analysis or finance is a plus but not required
- A proactive attitude with eagerness to learn about the lending industry and develop professional skills
- Working closely with management to improve processes and the client experience

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
