Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion/Caregiver to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote independence and comfort
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper meal hygiene and safety
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and document all medication activities diligently
- Provide companionship through engaging conversation, recreational activities, and emotional support to foster a positive environment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living space for clients
- Support clients during outings or appointments, ensuring safety and transportation needs are met effectively
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, using proper safety protocols
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable
- Proven background in patient care or senior care environments demonstrates strong caregiving skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia enhances ability to provide specialized support
- Knowledge of hospice care practices is a plus for supporting end-of-life needs compassionately
- Familiarity with home care procedures, medication administration, and caregiving best practices is preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential for this role
