Now Hiring: Asphalt Rake Person (Experienced)
PROCONSUL CONSTRUCTION LTD. is seeking a motivated and experienced Asphalt Rake Person to join our paving crew in the Edmonton area.
Responsibilities
- Rake and lute hot mix asphalt to final grade.
- Assist the paving crew in achieving proper mat quality and smooth finishes.
- Perform hand work around manholes, catch basins, curbs, sidewalks, and other obstacles.
- Check and maintain proper asphalt depths and grades.
- Work closely with the screed operator, roller operators, and foreman.
- Assist with site setup, traffic control, and general labour duties as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of asphalt paving experience preferred.
- Ability to work long hours, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Physically fit and able to work in hot weather.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (preferred).
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
