Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. The Restaurant Server plays a vital role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellent service and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and timely processing
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management skills
- Ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly and courteously
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest relations
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, tipping, and cash handling purposes
- Experience in food industry roles including serving, cashiering, or food preparation is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Kitchen experience or background in hospitality can be advantageous for understanding restaurant operations
Pay: From $17.85 per hour
