Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher — preference will be given to candidates with interior design education
- Minimum 2 years of kitchen design experience required
- Must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision
- Able to switch priorities and multitask based on shifting work requirements
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to analyze issues and make modifications as required by the customer
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record — must have reliable personal transportation
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English and be eligible to work in Canada
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the design team to create tailored kitchen designs for our customers that reflect their vision, budget, and functional requirements.
- Effectively communicate and present designs to prospective clients — coordinate and manage design changes in a timely and professional manner.
- Execute on-site measurements to ensure all designs are accurate based on actual site conditions — discrepancies between plans and site must be identified and resolved before engineering begins.
- Compile all relevant project information and documentation so that cabinet engineers can finalize the product accurately and without delays. This includes complete design packages, site notes, hardware selections, and any client-specific requirements.
- Create detailed elevations and hardware lists for every project — ensuring all specifications are clearly documented and production-ready.
- Work schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid meal break). Extended hours in evenings and/or weekends are available for those who choose to take them on.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range of $45,000 to $75,000 per year depending on experience and demonstrated abilities
- Mileage compensation for use of personal vehicle for required job duties
