Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Professional Driver to join our team. We focus on light industrial hauling in Grande Prairie and area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of vehicles (vans and trucks), including hauling trailers, to transport goods efficiently and securely. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent vehicle handling skills. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including freight vans and truck and trailers, to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained; perform basic automotive care (refilling fluids, etc) when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or heavy equipment operation is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair to perform minor repairs or troubleshooting on vehicles.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and work in various environmental conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Prior experience with freight logistics or industrial equipment is a plus but not mandatory. This role is vital for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism across all operations.
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
