Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cabinetry Design Engineer or Senior Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both residential and commercial cabinetry, with the ability to review and interpret design, shop, and engineering drawings, identify errors, and ensure accuracy in design and production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret design, shop, and engineering drawings for residential and commercial cabinetry projects
- Identify design errors, inconsistencies, and missing details before production
- Determine proper door thickness, materials, and hardware specifications
- Understand and work with detailed cabinet components including screws, drawers, hinges, and fittings
- Oversee and verify shop drawings before production
- Create and modify drawings using AutoCAD as required
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, production teams, and installers to ensure smooth workflow
- Ensure all designs meet quality standards and project requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cabinetry (residential and commercial)
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, and hardware
- Ability to read and analyze design, shop, and engineering drawings in detail
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with shop drawings and cabinet production processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in engineering, drafting, or woodworking/cabinet making
- Experience overseeing projects or coordinating with design and production teams
