Event Chef de Cuisine

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Event Chef de Cuisine to lead the culinary execution of off-site catering and banquet events. This role oversees the full event production process, from commissary kitchen preparation to on-site setup, service, execution, and breakdown. The successful candidate will lead culinary teams while ensuring exceptional food quality, timing, presentation, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Lead culinary operations for off-site catering and banquet events, including transport, setup, service, and breakdown. Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to coordinate prep, batching, staging, and event logistics. Ensure all food, equipment, and operational needs are fully prepared before departure.
During service, provide clear direction to the on-site culinary team while maintaining smooth workflow, strong communication, and consistent execution standards. Execute chef-driven menus with precision and adapt dishes or service plans as needed based on event conditions.
Following events, oversee cleanup, equipment returns, kitchen reset, and operational feedback to support continuous improvement and organization.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on leadership role in a dynamic catering and banquet environment. Flexibility, time management, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential. Evening and weekend availability is required based on event schedules.
Ideal Candidate

5+ years of professional culinary experience in restaurants, catering, banquets, or events

Proven leadership experience in high-pressure kitchen environments

Strong culinary technique and product knowledge

Ability to execute dishes confidently without detailed recipes

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract required for event travel and equipment transport
