Our team supports clients across a variety of industries, including healthcare, childcare, financial services, mining, education, forestry, transportation, and commercial and industrial operations.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to grow our Products and Consumables Division. This position is suited to a dependable sales professional who is comfortable developing new business, building long-term client relationships, and travelling throughout Ontario.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Sales Representative will be responsible for:
- Proactively generating new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, industry events, site visits, social media outreach, referrals, and prospect research
- Conducting discovery and sales meetings to understand prospective clients’ needs, challenges, purchasing processes, and decision-making requirements
- Developing and delivering product presentations, demonstrations, and sales pitches tailored to each prospective client
- Preparing detailed quotations, scope outlines, proposals, and sales agreements
- Negotiating pricing, contracts, and service terms while protecting company margins
- Identifying and responding to Requests for Proposals and other available business opportunities
- Developing and submitting clear, accurate, and competitive RFP responses
- Recommending additional products and services that may benefit existing or prospective clients
- Meeting or exceeding assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with current customers
- Working collaboratively with the Client Care team to support customer satisfaction and retention
- Researching industry trends, competitor activity, customer behaviour, and emerging sales opportunities
- Maintaining accurate CRM records of leads, sales activities, opportunities, proposals, and client communications
- Following up consistently on leads, quotations, proposals, and outstanding opportunities
- Collaborating with marketing and operations teams on promotional campaigns and advertising initiatives
- Representing Dr. Clean Inc. professionally at client locations, industry events, and networking opportunities
- Completing other related sales duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of two years of business-to-business sales experience
- Experience selling cleaning products, janitorial supplies, facilities-management solutions, industrial products, or related services is considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
- Confidence conducting sales meetings and presenting to prospective clients
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle objections and close sales
- A self-motivated and results-focused approach
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- The ability to manage multiple leads, proposals, clients, and deadlines
- Comfort working through a combination of field sales, office work, telephone communication, email, and virtual meetings
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, sales, or a related field is preferred
- A valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract
- The ability to be bonded
- The ability and willingness to travel throughout Ontario
- The ability to spend approximately 3–7 nights away from home each month
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually
- Commission: 1% of revenue growth after achievement of the annual sales target
