Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and reliable Packaging Machine Operator / Delivery Driver to join our team! In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating packaging machinery to produce high-quality products while also managing deliveries to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Operate packaging machines safely and efficiently, ensuring products meet quality standards and production targets
- Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling methods to prepare items for packaging or delivery
- Load delivery vehicles such as box trucks with products, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transit
- Deliver orders to retail locations promptly while maintaining excellent customer service and communication
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and vehicles, performing basic maintenance or reporting issues promptly
- Follow route plans accurately, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries
- Assist with warehouse tasks including inventory management, stock rotation, and order picking as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, packaging machinery, or related roles with a focus on efficiency and safety
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or driver certification; experience with route driving and delivery routes preferred
- Prior delivery driver experience with box trucks or similar vehicles; familiarity with manual transmission is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during deliveries
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly; experience with moving equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to driving, warehouse work, and equipment operation
- Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities throughout the day in a fast-paced environment
