SUMMARY
Developing and improving the manufacturing processes to produce High Precision small to large injection molded parts. Work with management, technicians and operators to continually improve manufacturing process, decrease cycle times, optimize production, maximize throughput rate, increase product quality, mold change reduction time, minimize scrap, and troubleshoot processing problems.
KEY DUTIES
· Develop, document, and implement standard molding processes and methodologies
· Use scientific molding methods to validate new molding processes and re-validate existing/legacy molds.
· Perform OQ’s & PQ’s, documenting plastic, parameters and run parameters.
· Research, desire, and develop manufacturing processes and new technologies
· Recommend and improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency
· Work with design, manufacturing, production engineers and tooling during the entire development cycle
· Emphasis on new mold sampling prior to transfer to production
· Participate in tool design reviews and recommend improvement to optimize molding, setup, and overall manufacturing
· Troubleshoot molding and manufacturing processes and material issues.
· Work with internal and external resources to resolve molding and manufacturing issues and implement long term solutions
· Research, develop and implement manufacturing process controls, machinery modifications and improvements
· Provide input on new or alternate materials for cost reduction or molding improvements
· Follows company health and safety, 5S, and ISO policies and procedures
· Setup and change over of tooling as required.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Process Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. He/she may also take direction from the Plant Manager and the Material Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 – 5 Years of experience in a process improvement/engineering role
Experience in Quality Management Systems
Injection Molding experience required
Strong knowledge of mold design and set up
