Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food service environments. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly atmosphere where guest satisfaction is our top priority. The Server will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests’ needs are met promptly and professionally. Prior experience with POS systems such as Micros POS, food handling, and sanitation standards is highly valued. A strong understanding of the food industry, restaurant operations, and guest services will help ensure success in this role.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems like Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables during busy periods without compromising service quality
- Address guest inquiries promptly and resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for order entry, billing, and cash handling purposes
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, upselling, and cashiering is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Kitchen experience or background in hospitality can be beneficial but is not mandatory
