The Honda Way is looking for a full-time Automotive Detailer to join our team in Abbotsford, BC. We are open to applicants with different levels of experience, from basic detailers looking to grow, to more advanced candidates with specialty appearance skills.
This position will be open to all applicants, but compensation will be based on the candidate’s actual experience, skill level, and ability. We want to be clear: entry-level candidates are welcome, but higher compensation is reserved for candidates who bring stronger detailing knowledge and specialty skills.
Basic detailers in this role will work between the detail department and the service car wash side of the operation, helping keep vehicles clean, presentable, and moving efficiently through the dealership.
What You’ll Do:
Wash, clean, and prepare vehicles for display, delivery, and customer pickup
Complete interior and exterior detailing to dealership standards
Vacuum, shampoo, clean, dress, and finish vehicle interiors
Wash, polish, wax, and clean exteriors, wheels, tires, glass, and trim
Support both the detail department and the service car wash side as needed
Prepare sold units for delivery and help ensure vehicles are ready on schedule
Inspect vehicles before and after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Care for detailing tools, chemicals, and equipment properly
Communicate any damage, concerns, or re-clean needs to management

What We’re Looking For:
Previous automotive detailing experience is an asset, but not required for the right candidate
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to perform physical work including standing, bending, lifting, and moving vehicles
Fluency in a second language is an asset
Experience with advanced detailing or specialty appearance work is a strong asset
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on experience and skill level.
Basic / entry-level detailers: starting from $19.00 per hour
Stronger experienced detailers: higher compensation based on experience, productivity, and quality of work
Candidates with advanced skills such as polishing, paint correction, ceramic coating, undercoating, tint, or PPF / XPEL installation may qualify for higher compensation based on proven ability
