We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor / Coffee Barista to lead daily operations in our fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, customer service, and team management, as well as extensive experience in preparing espresso-based drinks and creating latte art as well as other drinks. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in guiding your team, optimizing workflows, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate daily activities of staff during shifts to ensure efficient operations and scheduling the team.
· Work as a skilled coffee barista, performing all barista duties as an all-rounder.
· Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
· Train, mentor, and motivate team members to enhance performance and promote a positive work environment.
· Manage inventory, order supplies, and reduce waste through effective resource management.
· Greet every customer warmly and provide personalized service to ensure a memorable experience.
· Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and promptly.
· Oversee food preparation to maintain quality and consistency across all menu items.
· Maintain a clean, organized workspace in line with health and safety standards.
· Handle cash and operate the register, performing basic math calculations.
· Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.
Skills & Qualifications
· Proven experience in making espresso-based coffee and creating latte art.
· Strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures.
· Previous supervisory experience in a food or beverage setting is preferred.
· Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to lead a team while also working collaboratively.
· Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
· Experience in food preparation is a plus.
