Receiver Coffee is returning to the Cavendish Boardwalk this season, and we're looking for talented Pastry Chefs and Bakers to join us!
This is an early-morning role in a quality-first bakery working alongside people who care deeply about what they make. If you take pride in your craft and want to spend a summer baking beautiful things by the ocean, we'd love to hear from you!
What you'll be doing
- Baking and preparing breads, pastries, cookies, muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls, and other house-made goods daily
- Measuring, mixing, shaping and finishing products with consistency and care
- Setting up retail displays with attention to freshness and presentation
- Keeping the bakery station clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards
- Contributing to kitchen operations as part of a small, collaborative team
What you bring
- Experience working as a baker in a commercial kitchen. We make everything from scratch, so hands-on experience with real dough, and real ingredients
- Sound knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and sanitation practices
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- A team-first attitude with genuine attention to detail
Working conditions
This is a physically active role in a seasonal kitchen environment on the Cavendish Boardwalk. You should be comfortable with the following:
- Hours: Early morning starts, typically 3 am. Shifts include weekends and holidays, as this is a peak-season tourist destination
- Physical demands: Extended periods of standing, repetitive hand and wrist movements, lifting and carrying supplies (up to approximately 50 lbs), and working in a warm kitchen environment near ovens and equipment
- Season: This is a fixed-term seasonal position. Start and end dates align with the Cavendish tourist season

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
