Job Summary
We are expanding out practice in psychotherapy and addictions services
Working with addictions, and other mental health aspects, including a huge youth program portion, we are excited to welcome two new counsellors to add on to our team
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ mental health and addiction challenges, developing personalized treatment plans aligned with best practices.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and addiction counseling tailored to individual needs, utilizing techniques suitable for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, educators, and social workers, to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Maintain detailed case notes, progress reports, and treatment documentation in compliance with confidentiality standards and organizational policies.
- Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to monitor treatment outcomes and improve service delivery.
- Participate in case management activities such as scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and resource referrals to ensure comprehensive patient support.
- Stay current with developments in pediatrics, medical terminology, special education strategies, and hospital procedures to enhance clinical effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with adolescents and addictions in clinical settings.
- Background in hospital or healthcare environments
- Strong understanding of research methodologies related to mental health and addiction treatment.
- Knowledge of pediatrics, including developmental stages and specialized intervention techniques.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse populations.
- Experience in case management, data collection, and maintaining accurate clinical records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to mental health and addiction services.
- Additional training or certification in special education or related fields is a plus.
- One year minimum experience, and must hold registration in good standing with the board

Pay: $28.00-$100.00 per hour
