Underground Heavy Equipment Operator – Civil Construction
Location: Kelowna, BC and surrounding areas

Fredex Construction is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for civil construction projects in the Kelowna area.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience in civil construction
- Must reside in or near Kelowna, BC
- Must hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License in good standing (driver’s abstract will be requested)
- Background check will be requested if hired
- Additional licenses or certifications are considered an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a range of heavy equipment including:
- John Deere excavators
- Loaders
- Bulldozers
- Skid steers (Bobcat)
- Lead and execute site work activities with minimal supervision
- Accurately complete required documentation and paperwork
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Work safely around underground and overhead utilities in accordance with all regulations and company protocols

Preferred Certifications (Assets):
- First Aid
- Ground Disturbance
- CSTS (Construction Safety Training System)
- WHMIS
- Fire Extinguisher Training
- Respirator Fit Testing
- Any other relevant safety training
