Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance our enterprise IT infrastructure across both corporate and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with on-premises servers, networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls), and virtualization technologies, along with a solid understanding of network performance, security, and reliability in production environments.
Experience working in manufacturing environments or Operational Technology (OT) networks is considered a strong asset. This role is well suited for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment and is committed to delivering secure, scalable, and resilient IT and network solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and IT/OT networking platforms.
- Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Develop, document, and enforce network policies, standards, and procedures across all locations.
- Implement network segmentation and best practices to support both IT and OT environments.
IT Infrastructure & Server Support
- Manage and support on-premises server infrastructure, including Dell servers and enterprise storage systems.
- Administer and maintain virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or equivalent technologies.
- Implement and manage Veeam Backup & Replication, ensuring reliable backup operations, disaster recovery readiness, and regular backup verification.
- Perform system monitoring, capacity planning, patch management, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Manage Active Directory (AD) environments and Group Policy Objects (GPO) for centralized user, device, and security configuration management in Windows domain environments.
Security & Compliance
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate, Forti Manager, and Forti Analyzer.
- Manage VPN connectivity, firewall policies, and secure remote access.
- Implement network security best practices, including segmentation and monitoring.
- Support organizational cybersecurity initiatives and compliance with internal security standards and industry best practices.
Manufacturing & Operational Support
- Ensure reliable network connectivity for manufacturing and production systems.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues between IT and Operational Technology (OT) networks.
- Support the integration of legacy manufacturing equipment with modern networking infrastructure.
- Collaborate with operations teams to maintain stable and secure production network environments.
Monitoring & Tools
- Utilize monitoring and management tools such as Lansweeper, ServiceNow, and other network monitoring platforms.
- Track and manage incidents, service requests, and change management activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is an asset.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and networking.
- 10+ years of experience managing Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments.
- Proven hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies.
- Strong experience managing routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networking systems.
- Expert-level experience with Veeam Backup & Replication (mandatory requirement).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, virtualization, and routing protocols.
- Experience supporting enterprise networks in manufacturing or industrial environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as CMMC, NIST SP 800-171 is considered a strong asset.
