Robert Half is partnering with a well-established and growing organization within the construction manufacturing industry to recruit a Quality Control Manager for their Williams Lake, BC operation.

As the organization continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced quality professional to lead their quality assurance program and ensure the highest standards of compliance, performance, and product excellence.
The Opportunity
Reporting to senior leadership, the Quality Control Manager will oversee the organization’s quality management program, ensuring compliance with industry standards, certification requirements, and internal quality processes.
This role will be responsible for managing quality systems, inspections, testing procedures, documentation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with plant leadership, production teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer and industry expectations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience within precast concrete, concrete manufacturing, or construction materials, along with a solid understanding of quality assurance processes, testing standards, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
Lead and maintain the company’s quality management system, ensuring ongoing compliance with certification requirements and industry standards.
Oversee quality control procedures for manufactured products, ensuring consistency and adherence to specifications.
Ensure raw materials, production processes, and finished products meet established quality requirements.
Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation to support internal reviews and external audits.
Monitor quality metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Testing, Inspections & Corrective Actions
Coordinate and oversee product testing, inspections, and quality verification activities.
Prepare documentation required for certification audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures and specifications.
Investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Partner with production teams to resolve issues and improve overall product quality.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Provide leadership, training, and guidance to Quality Control personnel and production teams.
Promote a culture focused on quality, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with plant management, engineering, and operations teams to enhance manufacturing processes.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and strengthen quality standards.
Support ongoing operational excellence initiatives across the facility.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience within precast concrete manufacturing, concrete products, construction materials, or a related industry.
Strong understanding of concrete quality control processes, testing procedures, and manufacturing operations.
Experience managing quality programs within a manufacturing or production environment.
Knowledge of industry standards, specifications, inspections, and audit processes.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with production teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
