Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stamping Punch Press Set-up Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for preparing and operating punch presses to produce high-quality metal components efficiently and safely. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, quality standards are met, and equipment is maintained properly. Responsibilities
- Set up punch presses by installing and aligning tooling, dies, and fixtures according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Operate various types of machinery including stamping presses,
- Perform routine machine adjustments and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance during production runs.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Document setup procedures, production data, and inspection results accurately for traceability and continuous improvement.
- To work with QA on establishing quality checks, and to point out errors where found.
- Assists group leader in setting up decoiler / straightener
- Responsible for machine preventative maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Preform 1st off and last off inspection of parts and discusses quality issues with group/team leader before submitting to QA for inspection
- Starts production as per instruction of group/team leader and quality documents are to be recorded and maintained until the end of production run
- Once the production for the part is completed, required documents e.g. process flow sheets are filled in, in accordance with QA requirements and moves the part to packaging/assembly/shipping area
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols Responsible for departmental housekeeping, Cleans the work area at intervals to keep it neat and tidy, and safe
- Must maintain IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 procedures per job
- Performs other basic operations relating to department

Requirements
- Proven experience operating setting up punch presses, and stamping presses,
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Ability to operate hand tools, fabrication equipment, cranes, forklifts (certification preferred), and other manufacturing machinery safely.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
Experience
- Must posses at least 5 years or more of previous experience operating and setting up progressive dies in the punch presses

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
