We are currently hiring a Slitter / Rewinder Operator for a plastic bag manufacturing company in Etobicoke. The ideal candidate will have experience operating slitting or rewinding machines in a manufacturing or plastic production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate slitter and rewinder machines safely and efficiently
- Set up machines according to production specifications
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments when needed
- Inspect rolls and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Load and unload materials onto machines
- Maintain accurate production records
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow all health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience operating slitter or rewinder machines required
- Experience in plastic manufacturing is an asset
- Ability to work continental rotational shifts
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Basic English communication skills
