Triple A Cheese LTD. is looking for a Retail/Grocery/Deli Clerk to join our team and assist customers as they look for items sold at our deli counter. **Must have deli experience**
Hours of Work: pt or on call
Duties:
- Greet customers with a friendly attitude and assist them with their deli orders
- Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging and pricing meats and cheeses
- Prepare and package deli items following food safety guidelines
- Ensure work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment and floors, removing trash and confirming that tools are in working order
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area
- Handle cash transactions and provide correct change to customers
- Assist in restocking deli products and maintaining inventory levels
- Able to use the cash register to cash customers out
-Able to lift upto 50lbs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
-Other duties assigned
Experience:
- Work experience as a deli clerk is an asset
- Skilled in slicing and preparing deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications
- Experienced in assembling visually appealing and well-balanced sandwich trays and party platters
- Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and cross-contamination prevention
- Familiar with operating slicers, scales, and packaging equipment
- Prior experience in cash handling and customer service is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in food service industry is a plus
