Job Overview:
We are currently hiring a Press Brake Setter/Operator for a manufacturing company in Guelph. This role involves setting up and operating CNC press brake machines, reading blueprints, performing quality inspections, and ensuring parts are produced to specification. Candidates should have previous press brake experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines
- Install and adjust tooling according to work orders and production requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections
- Measure parts using calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Make machine and program adjustments to maintain part accuracy
- Monitor production output and document completed work
- Follow quality standards and operating procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating and setting up CNC press brakes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Experience with Amada press brakes is considered an asset
