The Inside / Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with agents and customers, supporting sales opportunities, preparing quotations, and helping develop lighting solutions based on project requirements.
This role requires strong knowledge of lighting products and applications. The representative must be able to understand customer needs, work with agents and customers to propose suitable solutions, and coordinate internally to ensure accurate pricing, product selection, and lead times. The representative will also work closely with production to communicate customer feedback and support continuous improvement of products and solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular communication with agents and customers to support sales opportunities and ongoing projects.
- Conduct sales visits and follow-ups with agents, customers, and project stakeholders as required.
- Prepare accurate quotations for standard and custom lighting products.
- Analyze project requirements, specifications, drawings, material costs, and job costing information to prepare competitive pricing.
- Work with agents and customers to develop lighting solutions adapted to specific project needs.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, production, QA, and shipping, to confirm technical feasibility, pricing, product selection, and lead times.
- Work closely with production to communicate customer feedback, address recurring issues, and support product or process improvements.
- Follow up on quotations, revise pricing or product selections when required, and support the sales process through to order placement.
- Provide a high level of customer service by combining lighting knowledge, sales skills, product knowledge, and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of lighting products, applications, and technical requirements.
- Experience in sales, quotations, or customer relations, preferably in a manufacturing or lighting environment.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with agents and customers.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand project requirements, specifications, and costing information.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently within required deadlines.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
