Duties
- Monitor premises continuously using CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to deter unauthorized access or theft.
- Verify identities and authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors in accordance with established protocols.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by assessing situations accurately and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Enforce loss prevention strategies by identifying potential theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action.
- Provide first aid or CPR when needed and assist in conflict management to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV technology is essential.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Background in military service or law enforcement can be advantageous.
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security best practices is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods while maintaining focus on surveillance duties.
