Kitchen and Custom Millwork Designer
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
· Meet with clients to determine design requirements, present design concepts, and manage design change orders
· Use design software to develop creative and functional design plans and layouts, elevations, renders and detailed drawings that respect your Clients’ budget and schedule and are up to building code standards
· Read and interpret blueprint, schematics, and technical drawings etc.
· Advise and assist with selection of colors, finishes and materials such as cabinets, tiles, counters, fixtures, lighting, flooring, and other items.
· Effectively multi-tasking specially during busy times, and managing your time to work within the client’s budget and allocating design time.
· Liaise with other departments and team members to ensure quality and continuity at all stages of the project.
· Maintain relationships with clients to ensure an outstanding customer experience that is second to none.
· Administration work as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
· Familiarity with local building codes and their implications for design would be a real bonus.
· Excellent communication skills and an ability to get your great ideas across quickly and clearly.
· Proficiency with any of the software - Mozaik, autoCad, or Cabinet Vision.
· Knowledge of cabinetry finish materials are considered an asset (i.e. Melamine, Thermofoil, Painted)
· Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or related field is preferred but maybe you have a fantastic portfolio that proves you know your stuff regardless
· Someone who revels in a fast paced, dynamic environment and has a thirst to always be learning
· A team player who’s always asking, “what can I do to help?”
. Driving License is suggested as the location is not transit friendly (public transport - very limited/rare service).
. If you can also speak Hindi or Punjabi - that can be an asset due to the diversity in the company team and the clients.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
