POSITION : Coordinator, People & Culture (12 Month Contract)
DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM : People & Culture
REPORTS TO : Senior Manager, People & Culture
BASIC FUNCTION:
The People & Culture Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the People & Culture team and serves as a key point of contact for employees. The role supports day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding and offboarding, maintaining HR documentation, preparing employee letters, supporting employee recognition initiatives, reporting, internal communications, and departmental administration. The Coordinator also assists with HR systems, SharePoint updates, workplace investigations, projects, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to support efficient and consistent People & Culture operations across the organization.
This is a 12 month contract position from August 2026 until August 2027.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the first point of contact for People & Culture, providing timely, professional support, guidance on policies and procedures, and general employee relations inquiries as needed.
- Monitor and triage inquiries received through the People & Culture inbox, ensuring timely responses and appropriate escalation of issues.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including supporting employee orientations, facilitating informational sessions for new hires, administering new hire and exit surveys, maintaining onboarding resources, and continuously improving onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, including service anniversary communications, vendor coordination, employee discount administration and gift/e-gift card administration.
- Support People & Culture reporting, data tracking, and preparation of recurring reports for leadership and internal communications.
- Prepare and process departmental administrative documentation, including employee letters and employment or status change documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion.
- Maintain People & Culture materials, organizational charts, SharePoint content, job descriptions, HR documentation, and employee data accuracy on a regular basis.
- Provide administrative support for workplace investigations, meetings, departmental communications, and People & Culture initiatives and projects.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of People & Culture systems, programs, and processes.
- Act as backup support to the People & Culture Administrator and perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of Human Resources experience.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline, or combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced computer skills, with competency in using intermediate/advanced features of Microsoft Office Suite and DayForce Ceridian.
- CHRP or pursuing CHRP designation an asset.
- Knowledge of employment and workplace legislation such as Human Rights, Health and Safety, Privacy, and ESA is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present data and information in a useful and concise manner.
- Outstanding customer-centric attitude, skills, and experience.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with internal and external stakeholders including staff, clients, and vendors.
- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills, attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Capable of exercising independent judgment, confidentiality, and flexibility.

- This role is hybrid - 3 days in office at 99 Duncan Mill Road, Toronto.
- This role is a 12 month contract from August 2026 until August 2027
- Salary: $50,000 - $54,000 annually
