We are currently recruiting for an aftwernoon shift Stiffener Lay Up Operator for flexible printed circuit boards. This is a full-time position of 8 hrs/day Mon-Fri (to start as a 3-month contract at first, with the possibility of being extended) based at our Toronto manufacturing plant (postal code M4B 1Y7, close to Victoria Park and Eglinton intersection):
JOB SUMMARY:
To visually align and pin kapton, adhesive and FR4 stiffeners to clads and coppers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lines up secondary materials to primary materials by pinning and using visual alignment to etched and/or drilled features and cuts materials as required to ensure the best alignment.
2. Cuts material in strips using rototrim, blocks or cutting guide holes to achieve required widths.
3. Cleans burrs on kapton and stiffeners when required.
4. Inspects visually product for alignment.
5. Verifies traveler counts before and after processing by physically counting product.
6. Passes product onto the next process.
7. Moves product to next step in Paradigm MRP.
8. Follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
9. Wears personal protective equipment as prescribed.
10. Follows all Company policies and procedures.
11. Attends meetings as required and actively participates.
12. Carries out housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean work area.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three (3) years in a similar position with solid electronics manufacturing background in flexible PCB manufacturing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sharp visual precision (with or without corrective lenses) to precisely align and bond layered materials.
- Lifts 1-2lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- A mix of standing and seated tasks.
- Works with chemicals (isopropyl alcohol, occasionaly )
- Works under tight deadlines.
